Current Public Comment Periods

There are no new public comment periods at this time.

Closed Public Comment Periods

While there are no formal or informal public comment periods for many of GE's submittals pursuant to the GE-Pittfield/Housatonic River, it is EPA's practice to accept comments from the public throughout the entire investigation and cleanup process. Interested persons and organizations are invited to submit comments at any time on the wide variety of inspection, monitoring, site analysis, characterization, work plans, and other technical reports submitted by GE to EPA on an ongoing basis. These current documents can be found under the "What's New" tab on this website. The listed documents are available on-line and are also sent to the Public Information Repositories to give the public access to all information on Consent Decree activities. EPA typically responds to GE's documents after 45 days of receipt; therefore, public submits should be submitted within 45 days of the date of the document.

If additional documents are subject to formal or informal public comment periods, the comment period will list here and notice will be sent out to the Citizens Coordinating Council.

Comments may be submitted by mail, email or fax to Jim Murphy, EPA Community Involvement Coordinator, as indicated below or individuals can ask questions or make verbal comments at the Citizens Coordinating Council meeting.
