How to Apply for the National Environmental Education Training Program

1. Determine Eligibility
- Applicants must be a United States:
- institution of higher education,
- non-profit organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or
- consortia of such institutions.
2. Complete the Application and Budget Form

Download the application (Federal Form SF-424) and budget form (Federal Form SF-424A) to complete the application electronically.
Applications must be e-mailed to U.S. EPA at EnvEdTraining@epa.gov no later than 11:59pm EDT July 26, 2010 as described in the Solicitation Notice.

- Fiscal year 2010 solicitation notice
- Submit the completed application by the July 26, 2010 deadline. EPA will not accept applications received after 11:59pm EDT July 26, 2010.
3. Receive Notification from EPA
- Applicants will receive an e-mail confirmation shortly after an application has been submitted to confirm it was received by EPA.
- Applicants who are not eligible for funding based on the threshold eligibility criteria will be notified by mail that they have been screened-out within 15 calendar days of EPA's determination that they are not eligible.
- Once the finalist is identified and recommended for funding, EPA will contact the finalist to request additional documentation to complete the application.
- Applicants who are not selected for funding will receive official notification from EPA in late-September 2010.
