In all of these projects we see our country’s future for clean energy, for conservation, for healthy communities, and a safer planet.
A variety of student and career opportunities are available at EPA. EPA, which employs 17,000 people across the country, has offices located in Washington, DC, 10 regional offices, and more than a dozen laboratories. EPA staff are highly educated and technically trained; more than half are engineers, scientists, and policy analysts. In addition, a large number of employees are legal, public affairs, financial, information management, and computer specialists.
Life at EPA
"I decided to work at EPA because it offered me the opportunity to go home from work every day knowing I did something to make this world a better place for future generations. The most satisfying thing is seeing the efforts of this region appreciated by an underprivileged community that is getting involved and demanding cleaner air from neighboring facilities. The people I work with are amazing and we share a genuine concern for our environment."
Erika Bolden, EPA Region 4
Many opportunities are available within EPA for students to gain career experience.
