Climate Change Projects in Region 6
(Currently Texas and Louisiana)

In 2009, Region 6 of the Environmental Protection Agency recognized a need for the exchange of information regarding the development of technologies for climate change mitigation and adaptation projects. As a result, a contractor was engaged to compile information on climate change projects in the Gulf Coast states of Texas and Louisiana. Below is the product of this effort. Included with each project on the map is point of contact information, a link to a website with more information about the project, and production information including Annual tons of CO2 saved and kilo Watt hours produced. Please feel free to browse through the projects or find projects which may have technology important to you or your company.

For information on a specific project, scroll over the project with your mouse. An information window will appear with the project name and sponsor, a point of contact, a “clickable” web link for additional information, kilowatts per hour, and Annual tons of CO2 saved, if all of this information is available. To refine the search area for a project use the zoom controls on the left-hand side of the map or the mouse wheel. You can also move any direction on the map by moving the mouse while left-clicking. On the right-hand side, you can select types of climate change projects by checking or un-checking the boxes.
