Electronic Tools
The purpose of the Electronic Tools page is to assist federal, state, local, and industry stakeholders in complying with the Federal Risk Management Plan (RMP) requirements.
ADAM--(Air Force Dispersion Assessment Model) Performs release rate, pool evaporation, and neutral and dense gas dispersion calculations. ADAM uses refined methods. It has a chemical database of eight chemicals and little or no modeling experience is required.
AFTOX--(Air Force Toxic Chemical Dispersion Model) Predicts toxic pollutant concentrations form continuous and instantaneous point and area sources. The model also calculates evaporation from a liquid spill and the subsequent transport and dispersion of the vapor cloud.
DEGADIS--(Dense Gas Dispersion Model) Performs dense gas dispersion calculations. DEGADIS uses refined methods. It has a limited chemical database and substantial modeling experience is required.
SLAB--Performs dense gas dispersion calculations. It uses refined methods. The user must provide chemical data (no chemical database) and substantial modeling experience is required.
TOXST--(Toxic modeling system Short-Term) Estimates the dispersion of toxic air pollutants from point, area, and volume sources at a complex industrial site. This system allows the estimation of ambient concentration impacts for single and multiple pollutants from continuous and intermittent sources. In addition, the model estimates the average annual frequency with which user-specified concentration thresholds are expected to be exceeded at receptor sites around the modeled facility.
TSCREEN--(Toxic Screening Model) Performs release rate, pool evaporation , and natural and dense gas dispersion calculations. TSCREEN uses simple methods. It is primarily used for screening and little or no modeling experience is required.
LandView III 
--This software displays EPA-regulated sites and demographic and economic data from the 1990 Census.
This information can be overlaid on the network of U.S. Streets, water features, and political and census boundaries.

RMP*COMP --This is an electronic tool used to perform the off-site consequence analysis required under the Risk Management Program rule published by the Environmental Protection Agency on July 20, 1996, which implements Section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act. Previously, EPA has referred to this tool as RMP Calculator or RMP Assistant. We are making RMP*Comp available to you in draft form to help you with your initial risk management program planning and evaluation. You can download an electronic copy from the RMP*Comp web page.
