September 22, 2011: SmartWay Multi-modal Tool and Webinar Presentation Available
The Beta version of the next generation SmartWay Multi-modal Tool is ready and available for Carrier partners! The Multi-modal Tool and guidance may be accessed at: http://www.epa.gov/smartway/partnership/multimodal.htm
The new Multi-modal Tool is designed to provide Partners with more accurate environmental performance data and to better inform freight decisions. June 28, 2011: EPA Announces SmartWay Drayage Program
EPA launches the SmartWay Drayage Program at the Port of Charleston, South Carolina with the Coalition for Responsible Transportation (CRT) and the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). The SmartWay Drayage Program recognizes Partners for reducing diesel emissions from port drayage trucks.

April 1, 2011: SmartWay Ranks First in American Shipper Survey
SmartWay ranked first among all the choices of supply chain sustainability programs used by leading retailers and manufacturers, according to a survey conducted by American Shipper.
