About the OAQPS Office of the Director
Who We Are
The Office of the Director is organized into three components: the Immediate Office (IO), Central Operations and Resources (CORE) and Policy Analysis and Communications (PACS). Our staff are communication and environmental protection specialists, contract liaison specialists, and program and management analysts who support EPA’s mission of protecting human health and the environment.

Central Operations and ResourcesThe Central Operations and Resources (CORE) is the business office for OAQPS. CORE consists of an immediate office (IO) and two groups (AAG, RPMG) that are focused on acquisitions and contracts and budget planning and execution. Acquisition and Accountability Group (AAG)The Acquisition and Accountability Group provides oversight of the acquisition portfolio for OAQPS. We act as the Contracting Officer’s Representative for the purpose of monitoring financial activities, progress, and performance on contracts; act as business advisors to management and technical staff on contract issues, policies, and procedures as they relate to the organization’s operations; act in an analytical capacity for complex management studies and analyses of all organizational procurement activities and act as a business leaders, to ensure government‐contractor business relationships are mutually beneficial to EPA and the public. |
Resource Planning and Management Group (RPMG)The Resource Planning and Management Group provides budget planning and execution support to OAQPS. RPMG manages and coordinates annual planning activities for OAQPS including the development of the OAQPS technical budget, which is a detailed resource level for all budget submissions (e.g., Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the enacted operating plan). We also provide a full range of budget execution services including funds certification, funds management, and budget reporting and analysis to support OAQPS. |
