Welcome to EPA's Aging Initiative Website. The website provides a wealth of information about the Agency’s efforts to protect the environmental health of older persons.

The United States is rapidly aging. In 2010, the population 65 and older totaled 40.3 million (13% of the population). By 2030, the number of older persons is expected to increase to more than 72 million (20%). Read more about the Aging Initiative.
