By: Dora Yzaguirre

It was during this decade that then President Nixon created the EPA. Prior to this year the air we breathed was not as clean as it is now. There is more to be done. Perhaps our new generation will come up with new ideas.

There is still a lot of pollution. Some advancements have been made. The Automobile Industry came out with a catalyst converter to prevent fuel emission in our communities. In addition unleaded gasoline has also helped the environment.

The problem still exists, perhaps it is because of the population increase. President Bush is still upholding the laws on the pollution problems. We should look forward t a better environment for the future ahead.

The clean air in our communities is a matter of good healthy breathing for all.
