			<title>September 26, 2012 – AgSTAR Updates Project Database</title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>AgSTAR's <a href="http://epa.gov/agstar/projects/index.html">Anaerobic Digester Database</a> has been updated! As of September 2012, AgSTAR estimates 192 digester systems are operating at commercial livestock farms, an increase of more than 13 percent from September 2011. Additionally, we've added five new project profiles: Butler Farms' covered lagoon digester, Fair Oaks Dairy's mixed-plug and vertical-plug flow digesters, Loyd Ray Farms' basin digester, quasar energy group's complete-mix digester on the Ohio State University campus, and Tollenaar Holstein Dairy's complete mix digester.</p>]]></description>

			<title>August 15, 2012 - AgSTAR Announces 2013 Conference Details</title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>AgSTAR is pleased to announce that it will hold its next national <a href="http://epa.gov/agstar/news-events/events/index.html#m061013">conference</a> on June 10-12, 2013 in Indianapolis, Indiana. On June 10th there will be a site tour of Fair Oaks Dairy and its anaerobic digester and biogas recovery system for vehicle fueling. The 11th and 12th will feature presentations on the latest developments in livestock manure anaerobic digester projects, a tradeshow, and many networking opportunities. 			<title>June 26, 2012 – EPA Region 9 Active in Promoting Anaerobic Digesters</title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>EPA Region 9 released a <a href="http://epamap21.epa.gov/biogas/index.html">Waste to Biogas Mapping Tool</a>, which is an interactive map created to link livestock producers, food processors, and other organic waste sources with existing anaerobic digestion facilities in order to enhance energy production from their biogas recovery systems.</p>
			<p>Also in June, Western United Dairymen highlighted a <a href="http://www.lookercomm.com/WUD/Weekly Update/2012/June 8, 2012/digestertour.htm">site tour</a> at Robert Giacomini's Dairy in Point Reyes Station, California. Cara Peck, from EPA's regional office in San Francisco, was at the farm to help showcase its anaerobic digestion system, which has 	been producing renewable energy continuously since June 2009.</p>]]></description>
