The loan program is part of the Rural Finance Authority (RFA) revolving loan fund, through which farmers can receive financial aid for many different farming related activities and improvements. The RFA can award either a direct loan or participate in a loan with an outside lender. In either case, the RFA's maximum contribution is $250,000 and limited to 10 years, although the outside lender may have different conditions.
