| Description |
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency's Division of Environmental and Financial Assistance provides direct loans of up to 10 years at a low-interest rate (established monthly) for the environmentally sound collection, treatment, disposal, and reuse of livestock waste. Also offered are linked deposit loans, for which the Division will work with the borrower's commercial lender to reduce the loan by up to 5 percent. Eligible costs include the planning, design, and implementation (construction and equipment) of projects, such as anaerobic digesters, that result in the protection of surface or groundwater quality. If the project addresses a non-point source of water pollution, the borrower can be anyone who will own and operate the facility for the duration of the loan. The borrower must demonstrate the ability to repay the loan. |
