Methane Recovery from Livestock Operations Workshop: The Economic and Environmental Benefits of Anaerobic Digestion

As the need for renewable energy sources grow and energy prices rise, now is the time to consider how your farm could generate additional revenue from waste while reducing odors and improving environmental performance. This workshop provided livestock producers with the costs and benefits of anaerobic digestion systems and information that they can use to determine if these systems are a good investment. Expert speakers discussed a wide range of topics including, the various types of anaerobic systems, producer experience with these systems, potential sources of funding, feasibility studies, additional revenue streams from anaerobic digester systems including carbon markets, interconnection issues, and much more. The presentations from the event are posted below.
