The Group Leader of the Information Transfer Group (ITG) reports to the Director, OID.
The ITG works closely with other groups to evaluate current and future internal and external
information transfer needs, and to manage information transfer activities. The Group provides
a central core of excellence in information technology (IT) to support OAQPS programs.
The Information Transfer Group:
- Manages internal and external informational transfer needs and activities (e.g. OAR/OAQPS websites, AIRNow, AIRData, Enviroflash);
- Operates the Agency's real-time and forecast air quality system (AIRNow); and
- Coordinates air quality forecasting efforts between EPA, state, and local air agencies and the National Weather Service (NWS).
