Nature of Duties: Provide science leadership to the Division, develop and execute research plans for atmospheric modeling, air pollution meteorology, and analysis and interpretation of complex environmental data involving other federal agencies and national/international scientific community.  Represent EPA at national/international scientific committees/meetings/workshops, serve on inter- and intra-Agency committees and Boards, and serve as the key EPA point of contact for atmospheric research programs.

October 2001-2008: Director, Atmospheric Sciences Modeling Division, NOAA.

Nature of Duties: Develop and execute research plans for modeling the transport and fate of air pollutants using an interdisciplinary approach, emphasizing integration and close cooperation with EPA and other public/private research communities. Represent NOAA and EPA at national/international scientific meetings/workshops, serve on inter- and intra-Agency committees and Boards, and serve as the key point of contact between NOAA and EPA for atmospheric research programs.
