Microbial Commercial Activity Notice (MCAN) for Trichoderma reesei from Genencor International Inc., j05-01
On January 24, 2005, the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) received a Microbial Commercial Activity Notice (MCAN) from Genencor International Inc., submitted under the biotechnology regulations promulgated under the Toxic Substances and Control Act (62 FR 17910 (April 11, 1997); codified at 40 C.F.R. Part 725). The MCAN was given the EPA tracking designation J-05-1. The recipient microorganism is Trichoderma reesei strain RL-P37. The generic name for the new microorganism is Trichoderma reesei 3236. This microorganism will be used to produce a b-glucosidase preparation.
