Listing of Proposal Guidelines by Fiscal YearFiscal Year 2007Application Guidelines for Brownfields Job Training Grants RFA# EPA-OSWER-OBCR-06-06 - Closing Date for Submission of Applications: September 11, 2006. The deadline for submission of brownfields job training grant applications has been extended to Sept. 11, 2006 5:00 EST. Applications must be received by 9/11/06 5:00 EST either through hard copy submission, electronically through e-mail, or through grants.gov This notice announces the availability of funds and solicits applications
from eligible entities and non-profit organizations to provide environmental
job training projects. The primary goal of the Brownfields Job Training
Grants Program is to recruit, train, and place residents from brownfields-impacted
communities in careers in the environmental field which in turn promotes
the assessment, remediation, or preparation of brownfield sites for redevelopment.

Solid Waste Management Assistance Grants - Support For Tribal Response Programs Focused On Brownfields Redevelopment - Closing Date: January 26, 2007 This notice announces the availability of funds and solicits applications from eligible entities and non-profit organizations to provide educational outreach, training, research, and technical assistance to tribal governments that will increase their capacity to establish, manage, and administer Tribal CERCLA 128(a) Response Programs. Tribal entities are especially encouraged to apply.
Training, Research, and Technical Assistance Related to Methamphetamine Contaminated Brownfield Sites in Indian Country - Closing Date: January 26, 2007 This notice announces the availability of funds and solicits applications from eligible entities and non-profit organizations to provide educational outreach, training, research, and technical assistance to tribal governments regarding the assessment, cleanup, and remediation of methamphetamine contaminated labs in Indian Country. Tribal entities are especially encouraged to apply.

Fiscal Year 2005Proposal Guidelines for Brownfields Training, Research, and Technical Assistance Grants and Cooperative Agreements This is a revised announcement of a funding opportunity for Brownfields
Training, Research, and Technical Assistance under Sec. 104(k)(6) of
the Small Business Liability Relief and Brownfields Revitalization Act.
These guidelines provide eligible applicants an opportunity to apply
for federal funding for brownfields-related training, research or technical
assistance. Deadline for applications is May 1, 2005.
Extension of deadline for submission of applications for Brownfields Job Training Grants due to Hurricane Katrina EPA's Office of Brownfields Cleanup and Redevelopment is now requesting applications for brownfields job training grants. The goals of the Job Training Program are to prepare trainees for future employment in the environmental field and facilitate cleanup of brownfield sites contaminated with hazardous substances, pollutants, or contaminants and petroleum. Proposal Guidelines for Brownfields Assessment, Revolving Loan Fund and Cleanup Grants EPA is reopening the competition for the 2005 National Brownfields Assessment, Revolving Loan Fund, and Cleanup Grants, and is now accepting proposals through January 21, 2005. The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2005, which President Bush signed into law on December 8, 2004, temporarily expands the number of brownfields sites that are eligible for funding under EPA's brownfields assessment, revolving loan fund, and cleanup grants awarded under section 104(k) of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA), as amended. Deadline for applications is November 16, 2004. Please note that applications that are sent via United States Postal Service may not arrive at EPA for several weeks due to the screening and irradiation process necessary for security purposes.

EPA is accepting proposals for national brownfields assessment, revolving loan fund and cleanup grants. These grants are part of the Small Business Liability Relief and Brownfields Revitalization Act to help states and communities around the country clean up and revitalize Brownfield sites.
Proposal Guidelines for Job Training Grants EPA expects to select approximately 10 Brownfields Environmental Job Training grants by the end of March 2004. Grant applicants must be located within or near one of the EPA-funded brownfields grant (assessment, RLF, and cleanup) communities. Eligible governmental entities include a general purpose unit of local government; a land clearance authority or other quasi-governmental entity that operates under the supervision and control of, or as an agent of, a general purpose unit of government; a governmental entity created by a state legislature; a regional council or group of general purpose unit of local government; a redevelopment agency that is chartered or otherwise sanctioned by a state; a state; an Indian Tribe (other than in Alaska), or an Alaskan Native Regional Corporation and an Alaska Native Village Corporation as those terms are defined in the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (43 U.S.C. 1601 and following), and the Metlakatla Indian Community. Eligible nonprofit organizations include any corporation, trust, association, cooperative, or other organization that is operated mainly for scientific, educational, service, charitable, or similar purpose in the public interest; is not organized primarily for profit; and uses net proceeds to maintain, improve, or expand the operation of the organization. EPA welcomes and encourages applications from coalitions of such entities, but a single eligible entity must be identified as the legal recipient. Entities with experience in providing environmental job training and placement programs, including training in alternative or innovative treatment technologies, are invited to apply. The deadline for proposals is December 1, 2003.
