- Operations Manual for Hispanic Community-Based Organization (PDF) (64pp, 538k) - developed by the Forum on Hispanic Health and Safety with support from the US EPA, The National Safety Council, The Pan American Health Organization, and the National Alliance for Hispanic Health. This English-language Manual, while designed for Hispanic community-based organizations, has information that is broadly useful for many community-based, not-for profit organizations focusing on environmental and public health protection. The Manual provides helpful step-by-step guidance as well as listings of valuable resources and information.
- Community-Based Environmental Protection: A Resource Book for protecting Ecosystems and Communities (PDF) (144pp, 3.0 MB) - a "how-to" manual for any community-based effort.
- Evaluations of Third-party Facilitation and Alternative Dispute Resolution for CARE Communities - EPA’s Conflict Prevention and Resolution Center has provided such assistance to a number of CARE communities. These case studies describe how facilitation helped.
