Additional InformationNet metering regulations were enacted by the Arkansas Public Service Commission (PSC) on July 26, 2002. These rules state that any excess net generation will be granted back to the utility each month. Subsequent legislation enacted in April 2007 (HB 2334) bolstered the existing statute by increasing the availability of net metering, improving the law's provision for the carryover of net excess generation (NEG), and clarifying the ownership of "renewable-energy credits" (RECs). Nevertheless, the PSC is going to review this condition since it discourages net metering.
