| Size of Award | The Green Energy Fund's Research and Development Program offers grants to projects that develop or improve renewable energy technology in Delaware. The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control will accept proposals for Research and Development Program grants for qualifying projects that improve the engineering, adaptation, or development of products or processes that directly relate to renewable energy technology. Subject to availability of funds, the Research and Development Program offers grants up to 35 percent of the cost of qualifying projects and shall not exceed $250,000 per project. |

| Additional Information | Research and Development Program proposals will be accepted by the Department on a biannual basis. The total of all grants awarded in any one fiscal year shall not exceed 10 percent of all revenue collected for the Green Energy Fund during the previous fiscal year or 10 percent of the fund balance, whichever is greater. A Request For Proposals (RFP) is issued annually. The RFP is normally issued around the end of November, a pre-proposal conference is held in December and proposals are due in January. |
