| Size of Award | The Mississippi Energy Investment Program, administered by the Mississippi Development Authority, is designed for making loans to qualified borrowers to promote development and demonstration of efficient and commercially feasible technologies and processes in the state. Loan applicants should effectively use the state's existing alternative and conventional energy resources to foster economic and social growth. Loan recipients will secure an interest rate 3% below the prime rate, with a maximum loan term of 10 years. Loans range from $15,000 to $300,000. This program is supported by a revolving loan fund of $7 million, established through federal oil overcharge funds. |
