Size of Award	In March 2005, the Montgomery County Council unanimously approved the Clean Energy Rewards Program, which offers residents and businesses a financial reward for buying clean energy. As of October 2008, both county residents and commercial entities will receive 0.5 cents for every kilowatt hour (kWh) of clean electricity consumed. The credit applies to purchases of up to 20,000 kWh and 400,000 kWh per year for residential customers and commercial entities, respectively.
