Size of Award	In March 2005, the Montgomery County Council unanimously approved the Clean Energy Rewards Program, which offers residents and businesses a financial reward for buying clean energy. County residents will receive 1 cent and commercial entities 1.5 cents for every kilowatt hour of electricity consumed. It is estimated that this credit offsets 40 percent of the incremental cost of clean energy.
