| Critical Information | The South Carolina Renewable Energy Grant Program provides grants to private and public entities located in the state. Grants are available in the following three categories: - Planning grants of up to $10,000 to develop proposals to obtain federal grants and other funding sources for biomass, solar, and wind energy projects in the state. - Matching grants of up to $200,000 for research and development projects for biomass, solar, and wind energy resources, provided that the grant does not exceed 50 percent of the total cost of the project. - Matching grants of up to $200,000 for demonstration projects that validate the effectiveness of new and future biomass technologies and products, provided that the grant does not exceed 50 percent of the total cost of the demonstration project. |
