| Partner Profile The City of Rock Island, Illinois currently has a methane boiler system at its Mill Street Wastewater Treatment Plant. This system burns methane captured during the treatment process and uses it to heat the plant building and treatment process. The city plans to replace this boiler system with a CHP methane generator. The electricity will support the plant and the heat will be used as it was before. The generator will provide between 4 and 8 percent of the power for city facilities. | |
