Hawai's Gas is Hawaii's gas utility, serving more than 66,000 customers statewide. For the past 20 years Hawai'i Gas has been instrumental in supporting and responding to CHP developers and distributed energy markets in Hawaii. Specifically, Hawai'i Gas provides education and outreach activities for interested customers, businesses, policy makers and other government representatives. Over the past four years, Hawai'i Gas has provided gas supply and infrastructure for eight commercial CHP projects and is currently working closely with the Gas Technology Institute on the development of state-of-the-art CHP systems for large resort and institutional facilities. The company enthusiastically supports the efforts of EPA's CHP Partnership to promote the benefits of energy efficiency and power supply diversity. | |
