Partner Profile The Energy & Recycling Office (ERO) provides financial assistance to CHP projects through a portfolio of zero-interest loan and grant programs. Through the Industrial Efficiency Fund program, $121,000 has been loaned to help finance two CHP projects. Through the Distributed Generation, Alternative Power & Energy, and Education & Demonstration grant programs, over $225,000 has been awarded to nine renewable energy and CHP projects. The ERO is also active in the Midwest CHP Initiative and has been active in the Regulatory Assistance Project, Distributed Generation Emissions Collaborative, and the Great Lakes Regional Biomass Energy Program. The ERO has received U.S. Department of Energy State Energy Program Special Projects awards totaling $425,000 to conduct market studies of CHP viability in Indiana and to provide assistance to CHP projects. The ERO is sponsoring the October 15, 2003 Indiana CHP Conference in downtown Indianapolis.
