L-3 Services, Inc. Unidyne Division, established in 1970, provides a wide variety of engineering services to the U.S. Navy and other U.S. Department of Defence (DoD) agencies, including site facility engineering and maintenance services. They are in the process of becoming a value-added dealer for Capstone Microturbines. L-3 Services's experienced staff of electrical and mechanical engineers will receive training in the design of combined heat and power (CHP) systems utilizing microturbines, and their experienced tradespersons will be trained on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these systems. Utilizing their long-standing customer relationships with facilities infrastructure decision-makers at DoD installations where they currently perform Facilities Maintainence Management Programs, they will provide design studies utilizing CHP systems to replace or augment current energy systems at significant cost savings and reduced environmental impact; and they will provide installation, maintenance, and upgrade support for the life cycle of these systems.
