The Pacific Southwest CHP Initiative?s mission is ?to coordinate a public/private interaction whose objective is to increase the development and use of cost-effective and environmentally preferred combined cooling, heating, and power technologies throughout the pacific southwest region, including California, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii.? Primary goals of the initiative also include outreach and education to the general public as well as legislative bodies, increasing installed CHP capacity in the southwestern states, removing utility barriers to CHP, developing state-level policies and regulations that give incentives and preferred treatment for CHP systems, technology, and CHP ?packaged-system? development, and interstate collaboration. | |
