PPL SavageAlert Inc., a subsidiary of Pennsylvania Power Light, is an energy development company that offers comprehensive energy cost reduction analysis, design/build, and performance contracting for its customers. For the past 25 years, PPL SavageALERT has provided facility retrofit and energy cost reduction projects to commercial, industrial, institutional, and public housing customers throughout the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions. PPL SavageALERT develops and implements turnkey projects through the utilization of its 15 affiliated PPL mechanical construction, controls, services, and construction management companies. PPL SavageALERT offers a diversified range of CHP and distributed generation services, including micro-turbines, waste-heat recovery/cogeneration, fuel cels, photovoltaics, landfill gas power, and distributed generation peaking plants. The company can provide project financing options, including energy savings loan agreements, leases, and performance contracts. PPL SavageALERT also offers a Build-Own-Operate-Manage (BOOM) option in which PPL owns, operates, and maintains a complete system and contracts with the customer for the system’s output (i.e., electricity, steam, hot water, or chilled water). The company’s ultimate goal is to reduce operating costs through energy cost reduction for its customers.
