| Incentive Size and Funding Source | Loan amounts range from $5,000 to $150,000, up to 75% of a project's cost. Loans have a 5 year loan term (may be amortized up to 10 years) and an interest rate that is equal to VEDA's Small Business Index minus 1.5% for 5 years and then adjusting to a variable Small Business Loan Program Index Rate. Closing fees apply to all loans. The program has a budget of $1 million. |
| Eligible Recipient | Vermont businesses (including non-profits) involved in manufacturing (or processing and assembly of products), hospitality, services, farms and retail are eligible, as long as they are 51% owned by US Citizens. Loans may not be made for improvements to public buildings and facilities such as public schools and municipal buildings. Multi-family properties are not eligible. |

| Other Selected Eligibility Criteria | Projects must improve the energy efficiency of the building. In addition, companies who conduct energy audits would be eligible for loans on equipment needed to carry out their work. Efficiency Vermont will verify the cost-effectiveness of the proposed efficiency upgrades as part of the application process. |
