The power generators sector includes all electric generating facilities powered by fossil fuels, including coal, petroleum, or gas as the power source. This sector does not include nuclear or renewable power sources such as wood burning or solar power, although it could include one of these sources if the facility used dual sources of power. The sector is now classified under the 2007 North American Industry Classification System as 221112.
