2007 CompTox Forum
Abstract Guidance for Poster Submission
Eligibility
The 2007 International Science Forum will be focused on Computational Toxicology. Therefore, only abstracts related to the field of computational toxicology will be considered.
Unlike previous EPA Science Forums, this year EPA is accepting poster abstracts from non-EPA organizations.
Timeline
The deadline for poster abstract submissions was Thursday, March 8, 2007. As of March 30, 2007, the International Science Forum has reached capacity on poster submissions and cannot accept additional abstracts for consideration.
Poster template guidance will be provided for accepted abstracts.
Presentation
Posters will be available for viewing on all three days of the Forum and during the Poster Session titled Computational Approaches to Risk Assessment on Monday, May 21 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.
Please note: EPA is not soliciting abstracts for regular platform (oral) presentations or sessions this year.
Online Abstract Submission
Abstracts must be received by Thursday, March 8, 2007 via the International Science Forum online abstract submission system. All entries will receive a confirmation of receipt of the abstract.
Poster Development Guidelines
- Present information in a logical, easy-to-view format conducive to walk-through traffic.
- Follow the official 2007 International Science Forum poster template design. Templates, examples and further guidance will be included in the acceptance e-mail sent at the end of March.
- Poster size is limited to 40" high x 90" long (landscape format).
- The researcher is responsible for printing of the poster.
All posters should have a presenter available to explain their posters on Monday, May 21, 2007 during the Poster Session from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.
Poster Selection Process
The poster selection process has been developed to allow for a well-balanced representation of posters across the Forum's theme. After the abstract submission deadline, March 8, the EPA's abstract review committee will review and select the posters to be included in this year's Forum. Poster selection and rejection notifications will be distributed via e-mail no later than March 30, 2007. The poster acceptance e-mail will contain specific guidance regarding the poster design, template and other pertinent details for poster presenters.
