EPA Smart Growth Grants from 2009 RFPs
National Center for Appropriate Technology Awarded Cooperative Agreement for Smart Growth Network Web Site
On August 1, 2009, EPA awarded a cooperative agreement to the National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT). NCAT will use the funding for development and maintenance of a web site for the Smart Growth Network. The Smart Growth Network is a nationally recognized coalition of leadership organizations that have formally endorsed the principles of smart growth. This site will be the network's web-based home, providing basic information about and links to each of the coalition's major partner organizations. In addition, it will function as a one-stop shop for finding the most current, cutting-edge information about implementing smart growth approaches, including best practices, resources, and emerging issues.
This award was made in response to a competitive request for proposals titled "Smart Growth Network Website" (EPA-OPEI-0901). Submissions for that RFP were due January 12, 2009.
