2010 National Capacity Development and Operator Certification Workshop
Welcome to the Registration Page for EPA’s first-ever Joint National Capacity Development and Operator Certification Workshop. We are looking forward to meeting you in Dallas, TX on September 14-16, 2010.
The overarching theme of the 2010 Workshop is “Achieving Water System Sustainability”. As we look to accomplish system sustainability, it becomes instantly obvious that both Capacity Development and Operator Certification play a huge role and that without either of these programs, sustainability would not be possible. During the workshop we will aim at promoting a more cohesive group as well as better communication among PWSS programs and partners. Our aim for this year’s workshop is to focus on partnership discussions and compiling action items.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our National Workshop Workgroup, we have been able to develop a full agenda, comprised of hot topics and extensive discussions. Highlights include: pre and post-conference trainings, water and energy efficiency, operator training, workforce, funding to support sustainability, and effective communication.
We want to make sure that this workshop is worth your time!
In order to do that however, state participation must be maximized. Invitations were mailed to each state Capacity Development and state Operator Certification coordinators, as well as to the program directors/administrators. If there is another action EPA can take to assist in supporting your attendance, please do not hesitate to contact Meghan Klasic (202-564-8221, klasic.meghan@epa.gov) or Steve Hogye (202-564-0631, hogye.stephen@epa.gov).
See you in Dallas!
