In today's marketplace, many consumers look for products and services that use fewer natural resources, reduce greenhouse gases (GHG), and create less of an environmental impact. As a WasteWise partner, your organization can greatly reduce its climate footprint through waste prevention, recycling, and buying or manufacturing recycled products. These activities conserve natural resources and reduce the energy needed to obtain and process materials used to manufacture new products. But how do you quantify the benefits of your actions to ensure you are truly making a difference? WasteWise Re-TRAC.
What is WasteWise Re-TRAC?
WasteWise Re-TRAC is a data management and reporting
system to track your organization's waste generation
and reduction activities and is free to WasteWise
partners. Regardless of the number of facilities
you have, WasteWise Re-TRAC enables you to track
and standardize waste management data for your entire
operation. Here's how it works.

What you do:
- Register as a WasteWise partner.
- Collect data on your current waste-related activities - generation, prevention, recycling and composting, buying/manufacturing recycled-content products.
- Enter your data into WasteWise Re-TRAC. The system allows you to enter data daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly, depending on your preference.
- Track and manage your data by running customized reports for your organization.
- Report baseline and annual data to the WasteWise program.

What WasteWise Re-TRAC does:
- Compiles and analyzes your waste management data and maintains historical files.
- Submits your annual data to the WasteWise program with a click.
- Generates instant reports on program performance and trends, and calculates GHG emission reductions associated with your activities.
- Provides your official EPA Climate Profile report on an annual basis.
