The Air Pollution Control Technology Center is operated in cooperation with RTI International . This center verifies commercial-ready technologies that control stationary and mobile air pollution sources, and mitigate the effects of indoor air pollutants. This center is also part of the Air Pollution Prevention and Control division, which is under EPA’s National Risk Management Research Laboratory. The APCT Center is closing as early as August 31, 2012. In order to complete in-process verification tests by that date, new applications for verifications of all technologies other than baghouse filtration products (BFPs) are no longer being accepted as of October 31, 2011. Applications for BFP verifications are being accepted through February 14, 2012. All verification reports are targeted for completion and posting to the ETV website before August 31, 2012.
Verified Technologies
Technologies that control air pollution help to protect human health and our ecological resources by reducing or preventing environmental risks. This center has verified technologies in a range of categories, including diesel engine emission controls, baghouse filtration products, nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compound emission controls, dust suppression and soil stabilization products, and paint overspray arrestors.
