International Meetings

Methane Expo 2013, was hosted by the Global Methane Initiative (GMI) in Vancouver, Canada on March 12-15, 2013. Methane Expo is the premier international forum for promoting the recovery and use of methane through new projects and technologies. GMI is a voluntary, multilateral partnership that aims to reduce global methane emissions and to advance the abatement, recovery and use of methane as a valuable clean energy source. GMI achieves this by creating an international network of partner governments, private sector members, development banks, universities, and NGOs in order to build capacity, develop strategies and markets, and remove barriers to project development for methane reduction in partner countries.

Annual Implementation Workshop

Each year, EPA sponsors the Natural Gas STAR Annual Implementation Workshop to further the Program's primary goal of facilitating information exchange about cost-effective methane emission reduction technologies and practices. This conference brings together Natural Gas STAR partners and industry experts to discuss the latest technologies and practices.
