Answers to questions we have received
Q.1. How many applications do you typically receive in a
single funding cycle and how many are usually funded?
A.1. We would anticipate 1 to 4 proposals for each of the
subject areas.
Q.2. Is there a certain percentage of the total project cost that will be
considered substantial and garner preference when an applicant provides
matching funds? Will both cash or in-kind contributions be accepted as
match? Is there a preference for either kind?
A.2. There is no target for the match. Both cash and in-kind
contributions will be accepted; there is no preference for one over the
other.
Q.3. Could you confirm the Feb. 9, 2009 application deadline and that
applications will be accepted through Grants.gov and via mail?
A.3. We do so confirm. The application deadline and means of acceptance is
as stated: Submissions must be postmarked or received by EPA or
electronically through grants.gov by midnight, CST, February 9, 2009.
