This is a pollution prevention project for household hazardous waste.
The grantee will organize and conduct a household hazardous waste
collection effort in Keshena, Wisconsin for residents of the Menominee
Indian Reservation. The project will include outreach prior to the event
and the actual collection day, which is scheduled for the
Fall of 1999. This collection event builds on the success of an event
funded by GLNPO in the Summer of 1998. The intent is for the tribe to
incorporate the clean sweep program into their regular ongoing waste
collection program. |
