Disappearing Diporeia in the Great Lakes

List of Proposals Received

Selections of Proposals have been made regarding the January, 2007 Request for Proposals to investigate Disappearing Diporeia in the Great Lakes. Under this Request for Proposals, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (USEPA's) Great Lakes National Program Office (GLNPO) requested proposals for an estimated $200,000 for an estimated one to four projects which would be conducted over a period of up to three years. Applicants submitted 9 proposals totaling $16.57 million. In May, 2007, two proposals totaling approximately $200,000 were selected, and applicants submitted full application packages. The selected proposals were:

GL2007-1-03 Assessing Factors in Decline of the Native Amphipod Diporeia Cornell
GL2007-1-08 Pathogens Impacting Diporeia spp. In the Great Lakes Michigan State University
