| Community Profile The City of Moab is located in southeast Utah along the banks of the Colorado River between Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Nearly three percent of the total electricity consumed in Moab comes from clean wind energy, with approximately 15 percent of the community participating in Moab's green power purchasing program. "If our community can make a difference by our participation, just think what a difference it would make if every community participated in some kind of green power program," said Mayor Dave Sakrison. "Moab's citizens care about the environment and are proud to be recognized as the first EPA Green Power Community in the nation." | |
