Green Power Partnership at a Glance
The Partnership currently has 146 Partners, with a combined total commitment of almost 800 million kilowatt-hours of green power annually. The Partnership includes 85 businesses (including eight Fortune 500 companies), 19 federal government Partners, 13 local government entities, four states, 14 nongovernmental organizations, and 11 universities.
Recognition Opportunity for Green Power Partners with Deputy EPA Administrator Linda Fisher at the American Council for Renewable Energy (ACRE) Conference, Wednesday Morning, July 9, Washington, DC
We just received confirmation that on Wednesday morning, July 9, from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m., Deputy EPA Administrator Linda Fisher will be speaking at the 2003 ACRE Conference taking place at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Immediately following her remarks, she will be available to meet and have photos taken with Green Power Partners. Partners interested in meeting Linda Fisher should RSVP to Erika Frank (frank.erika@epa.gov, 202-564-1436), by COB Wednesday, July 2nd.
Green Power Marketing Conference Scheduled for November 3-5 in Chicago
The 8th National Green Power Marketing Conference has been scheduled for November 3-5 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chicago. The conference will be the location for Green Power Partnership events including the Partner Forum and 2003 Green Power Leadership Awards, both of which will take place on Tuesday, November 4th (see below for additional details).
Nominations Open for 2003 Green Power Leadership Awards
Nominations are now open for the 3rd Annual Green Power Leadership Awards. The awards banquet will be held on November 4 in conjunction with the 8th National Green Power Marketing conference. Any party can submit nominations and self-nominations for three types of Green Power Purchasing Awards: On-site Generation, Green Power or Renewable Energy Certificate Purchasing, and Partner of the Year. In addition, the nonprofit Center for Resource Solutions will offer awards for green power marketers and suppliers. Nominations are due by August 1, 2003. Nominees that are not Partners will have until September 15, 2003, to become a Partner. Winners will be notified on October 1, 2003. In addition, any Partners that meet the criteria for the Green Power Leadership Club by September 15, 2003, will automatically qualify for recognition during the awards banquet. Save the Date: Green Power Partner Forum, Tuesday, November 4 in Chicago
This year's GPP Partner Forum will take place Tuesday morning, November 4 as part of the 8th National Green Power Marketing Conference. Questions or suggestions regarding this year's Partner Forum should be directed to Matt Clouse (clouse.matt@epa.gov, 202-564-0048).
New Features on the Green Power Partnership Web Site
The Green Power Partnership Web site is adding some new features. The new Green Power Locator, which will be available shortly on the Green Power Partnership home page, will provide state-specific information regarding green power providers. The new Power Profiler, available now at www.epa.gov/cleanenergy/powerprofiler, provides detailed information regarding emissions associated with consumption of conventional electricity generation.
