| Partner Profile A Better City is an independent membership-based organization, working to improve the economic competitiveness and quality of life in the Greater Boston region by advancing significant transportation, land development, and environmental policies, projects, and initiatives. The organization receives all of its energy needs through renewable wind power, which helps achieve their energy policy of operating a net zero office. Walking the walk is very important to A Better City as they run the Challenge for Sustainability, a program that is designed to leverage the private sector's ability to influence change and make Greater Boston a leader in sustainable building and transportation practices. Additionally, A Better City hopes to start a trend of purchasing green power within their membership. " Purchasing green power is perfectly in line with both A Better City's business and environmental missions. Becoming a Green Power Partner further establishes our membership organization as an environmental leader and partner in the greater Boston region's business community and enables us to help mitigate the global greenhouse gas problem." — Rick Dimino, President, A Better City | |
