| Partner Profile StopWaste.Org is the Alameda County Waste Management Authority and the Alameda County Source Reduction and Recycling Board operating as one public agency. StopWaste.Org's 2007 LEED-NC Platinum certified headquarters building in downtown Oakland is 100 percent powered with green power. Direct green power is produced from a small photovoltaic (PV) system on the roof that contributes 10 percent of energy needs for the year. Renewable energy certificate (REC) purchases make up the difference, with half the RECs coming from California Solar and half from national wind. | |
