| Partner Profile StopWaste.Org is the Alameda County Waste Management Authority and the Alameda County Source Reduction and Recycling Board operating as one public agency. StopWate.Org’s new headquarters building in downtown Oakland is powered with 100 percent locally produced green power. In addition, a small photovoltaic (PV) system on its roof contributes 12 percent of its energy needs for the year. The remaining electricity use is made up of purchases of renewable energy certificates from local wind farms and PV installations less than 20 miles away. | |
