| Partner Profile Alphalink is a supplier of high quality nutritional ingredients to the Japanese and Korean markets, and is based in Berkeley, California. The company partners with ingredient manufacturers from all over the world to meet the very highest of quality standards. Currently, Alphalink purchases more than 14,000 kilowatt-hours a year of renewable energy certificates (RECs) generated from third-party certified wind. Purchasing RECs equal to 300 percent of Alphalink’s electricity usage demonstrates their investment in energy for a cool world. The company recognizes that buying green power helps promote new technologies, encourages new investments in U.S. renewable power sources, develops the green power markets, and can reduce the environmental impacts of its operations. Alphalink’s president Jim Drain says, “Our purchase of green energy supports both the renewable industry and the global environmental. This commitment is a perfect fit with Alphalink’s mission to find and supply healthy nutritional ingredients to customers around the world. We hope our investment in RECs will inspire other profitable companies to give more than 100 percent and join the renewable energy team.” | |
