| Partner Profile Throughout our 38-year history, Alpine Bank has partnered in things that make our commuities better. Alpine Bank operates 39 distinct and separate locations throughout western Colorado with over 520 employee-owners. Our formalized Green Team ensures our organization is accountable to our Environmental Management System and our Environmental Policy. In 2006, Alpine Bank become the first and only known U.S.-owned bank to earn ISO 14001 certification. Where possible, Alpine Bank buys 100% green electric power directly from our utility providers. At locations where utilities do not yet offer green power as an option, Alpine Bank obtains 'carbon offsets' through a donation to a Colorado nonprofit. Our annual donation is used to support energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in our state. Additionally, we support the concept of "distributed energy." Since 2008 we've begun to produce a small amount of our own clean, renewable power by adding solar electric panels to our buildings in Rifle South, Silt and Glenwood Springs. These new systems produce around 30,000 kilowatt hours per year - enough electricity to power five homes.
