Partner Profile
The American Jewish Committee (AJC) is a global advocacy organization with offices across the United States and around the world. AJC has long advocated for a comprehensive national energy policy that would substantially reduce U.S. reliance on imported oil, a dependence that threatens national security. An effective, forward-looking energy policy that promotes usage of alternative fuel sources also would benefit the environment by reducing greenhouse gasses, and would help the economy by promoting American jobs in the energy sector.

Demonstrating their commitment, AJC has been working energetically since 2005 on transforming their New York headquarters into an energy and environmentally responsible building. With the ability to acquire renewable energy credits (RECs), AJC is given flexibility in contributing to renewable energy projects in substitution of on-site renewable energy or green utility programs. AJC is using RECs generated by wind turbines to meet all of its energy use.
