Partner Profile Austin Independent School District (AISD) is an urban public school system with 104 campuses and more than 20 support buildings in Central Texas. AISD is committed to purchasing 30 percent of its total electricity use from green power, and its purchase of 48,827 MWh is one of the largest in the Green Power Partnership. The school district’s main driver behind its commitment is to reduce power plant pollutants and be recognized as a “good citizen”. Additionally, the school district believes it is advantageous to lock in a fixed price for its energy expenditures.
