Through aggressive energy management and cost-effective investment in campus energy projects, Babson has progressively reduced its energy use over the last 5 years. As of fiscal year 2010, Babson has already reduced energy use on campus by 13 percent below fiscal year 2005 levels. Babson’s significant progress in reducing energy use has driven its early success in meeting its greenhouse gas emissions goals. Fiscal year 2010 emissions were 19 percent below FY 2005 emissions. Babson is on track to exceed its 2015 goal of reducing emissions by 25 percent below FY 2005 levels. By purchasing green power to supply five percent of its electricity, Babson is driving its emissions even lower.
